Oftentimes I want my URL to include a custom short name, such as what bit.ly offers. e.g., instead of http://ad.vu/3a5hs I would like to enter "newtruck", which would generate http://ad.vu/newtruck -- thus the visitor knows right away what the link goes to.

One place I advertise is on the email traffic exchanges. I noticed the links with the ads break the frames of the "solo" emails, causing most of them to not be sent out. a. timestamp: reduce to date only (remove weekday & time, which can be viewed in "details") b. short url: stack in same column as original url (provides better visual comparison of url lengths, also it's duplicate data in different format, so adjacent column is meaningless) c. original url: excellent d. thumbnail: remove altogether (it can be viewed in "details", conserve bandwidth & increase number of rows visible for comparison) e. ad: great f. hits: split into columns (talk about increasing row visibility! with column space gained by removing original url & thumbnail columns, turn these 12(!) rows per link into 2 columns in 2 rows by changing "hits" header to "link clicks" & "ad clicks" then printing data as valid: # total: #) g. Please make every column sortable (on main page as well as "details" page), the link stats will be much more valuable when we can sort by total link clicks, total ad clicks, original url, referrer, etc.

While in beta, we're only paying out in US and payment by check is the simplest way to verify this. The reason we're limiting payout to the US is two fold. First, nearly all of our advertisers market to the U.S. and second, all of the attacks on Adjix have come from outside the US.

1.) If you are a purist, yes -- no URL is complete without the http:// protocol. But why not simply default to http:// when no protocol is entered, as 99.8% of links will be http. If I want rtsp:// I will figure out my mistake and generate another one.
